Description
I preferred this front view of the Cavalry Charge sculpture, found in front of the U.S. Capitol Building of Washington D.C. The trees in the backdrop seemed fitting for the river water that is splashing against the banks.
Sculptor Henry Mervin Shrady is said to have used himself as the fallen soldier about ready to be trampled under the hoofs of the following horse soldier.
The Calvary Charge sculpture was completed in 1916, and sits to the right of the horse mounted Ulysses S. Grant bronze sculpt .
The Fine Art America Security Watermark does not appear on any purchased product.
