My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.

My imagery is all real authentic photography mainly focusing on the beach and other coastal environments. There is absolutely NO AI used in my photography. What you see are actual photographs. I use highly specialized camera housings that allow me to take my camera gear into and under the water. This allows me to capture very unique angles and scenery that most folks rarely even get to see with their own eyes. My specialty is most definitely what those of us in the business call Water Photography. I also often use slow shutter speeds and other such methods to create truly unique imagery. It's the light itself that is always of first and foremost importance. This obsession with extraordinary light sees me often getting up in the...

Congratulations on your sale Sean! Your image brought me back in time. I was on a sailboat that was intending to sail alongside the Hokulea on that fateful day that the Hokulea capsized. Unfortunately we had a few more things to ready on our boat before we set sail and left Honolulu about two hours after the Hokulea's departure. So very unfortunate -- we grieved knowing that had we been able to leave at the same moment as the Hokulea, the outcome for Eddie might have been much different. The seas were EXTREMELY ROUGH with severe gale warnings posted and we all wondered why the Hokulea's pilot did not delay the departure, but it had been well publicized and they left pretty close to the time they had set. As I recall, the waves measured at least 20 feet from crest to trough and because of that we likely sailed within close proximity to the Hokulea and never saw her. It was a very rough sail for days and on our sailboat it seemed we had an all hands on deck call every couple of hours -- the winds and seas were SO ROUGH and STRONG sails were ripping and perhaps the scariest part was when the rigging for our main sail boom literally ripped out of boom, ripping the metal like it was cloth. Very severe conditions to sail in, let alone try to make landfall on a surf board. One of the crew on our sailboat had previously sailed on a voyage of the Hokulea and knew all the crew. She and I share a birthday and it was on that day (four days after we departed) that we found out what had happened and that Eddie had not made landfall and was presumed deceased. So very tragic, but nice to know that Eddie has not been forgotten. I particularly like the feel of the silhouettes of both the onlookers and the surfers in your image. You've captured the moment beautifully.
