This car was in service for the Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railroad as a Business Class car.
Built by Pullman Co. in 1892.
Weight of total car 150,900 lbs.
Weight of body: 108,200 lbs.
Roof covering: Canvas.
Batteries: 600 amp. hour.
Draft gears: Cardwell B-9.
Coupler: Janney No. 3469.
Heating: Vapor system Baker heater.
Lighting: Safety Generator 3 KW Electric.
Air cylinder: 18"
Four (4) fans, two (2) Saloons and one (1) Kitchen.
Sleeping capacity: eight (8) single, 12 by double.
Seating: 24.
Trucks: Truck frame - steel.
Axles: 5x9 M.C.B.
Wheels: 36" steel.
Weight of trucks (each) 21,350 lbs.
This car can be viewed at the Wheels O' Time Museum in Dunlap, IL. Just outside of Peoria, IL.
