I purchased the shaggy angora goat on the wood mount for a gift for my neice. Loved how the wood grain comes through on the print. Excellent purchase! Would definitely purchase again.

This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
A Chile Rista At Sunset in Old Mesilla, New Mexico. Shot with Canon T1i ISO 400, 1/180 sec. @ F/6.7, 96mm focal length. The following winter there was bitter cold in New Mexico that killed many palm trees along with this wonderful growth of Nopales, cacti. I went back in November 2011 and only a stump by the red door remained.
About Lawrence Costales
Mostly self taught, I began to seriously study what makes a good photo by studying great paintings. In 1988 I took some black and white photography classes at Mt. SAC collage, CA but I couldn't wait to take the required classes to get to color, so I went off on my own. My first award-winning photo was a military image of a sunset through camouflaged equipment. My latest travel photographs are from my tour of duty in Kuwait in support of the US Army at Camp Doha and Camp Arifjan. During my one year there, 2003/4, I was also able to travel to Italy and Dubai, UAE. Some of my earlier works have been displayed at the ARCO Towers in Los Angeles, US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia, Galleria Nina Moreno, Tijuana, B.C., the Temecula Art Gallery(TAG),...

I like to "doodle" and one of my favorite subjects are different angles of kivas. The difference is mine are from the inside looking out. Somewhere in the picture is a rista hanging on one of the walls and it is the only colored part of the scene. We lived in Las Vegas for the last 6 years just moving to Louisiana in the last year. I do miss the desert but... I don't miss the heat...

Just wanted to compliment you on your "artisic eye". It is a talent to find the shots that will set your work apart from others which is very obvious you have worked hard at and achieved. Looking deeper into what is front of you and selecting the "right" part of scene makes all the difference. Enjoy your work and will pass along to others your efforts. "Onward thru the Fog... John
Lawrence Costales replied:
Truly appreciate your support and kind words. This is a popular door to photograph in historic Mesilla, New Mexico but I have never seen anyone take a similar composition. It is now a historical shot because the cacti suffered major frost damage a few years back and only a stub remains.
Raffaella Lunelli
You have a great eye for the composition and for the details. I like very much your works! Ciao, Raffaella
