Description
a splendid world it would be
If the color of one’s soul
Is all we could see
The outer shell that we present
Would hold no true significance
As all the world would be colorless
Our only way to judge one’s heart
To tell the good or bad apart
Would be the Color of their soul
And light or dark would tell their tale
So very simple a reveal
Prejudiced judgment exists no more
Harmony reigns on every shore.
but a world full of color is a luxury
God gave us trusting we would see
The goodness and love behind each tone
I feel we’ve failed this simple task
Of seeing beyond, we surely lack
The harmony a rainbow does possess
Side by side all colors rest, in peace.
Must we surrender the gift of sight
In order to escape this tragic plight?
If only we would look deeper to see
The color of the souls we meet.
