A most splendid capture of this cone flower, or echinacea floral, Bruce! Love your macro shots of any flower! A bit of interest to you. This floral, being of the native American medicinal usage, was named by the spines of prickly spires in the center. It resembles an irritated hedgehog, thus the name, from Greek, echinos, which means hedgehog. Just thought it may be of some interest to the "Lily King"! Beautiful capture and presentation of this wondrous floral!
