Food packed in a cool box ready for a picnic. The plastic box is double skinned and thermally insulated. In combination with ice packs the temperature will remain low enough for several hours to transport food safely. No power is required for this type but some models incorporate a cooling unit and fan that can be driven by a 12 volt power supply, such as in a car.
