The print is much darker in person. It looks like an underexposed photo and hard to make out any detail on the bottom half of the print. Paper quality is good. Fast shipping.
Artist's Description
Coyote is singing a melody to his ancestors who have been trapped, poisoned, and shot yet they still survive and even thrive because they are adaptable and resourceful. I so admire and enjoy them! They didn't get the name wily for nothing. :)
About Harriet Peck Taylor
How lucky I am to live the artist's life. I have had the opportunity to stand on a wind swept mountain at dawn and I've watched stars shoot across an infinite moonlit night. Still, it is the birds and animals who have shown me sheer joy and helped me feel connected to the whole of nature, birds, animals, plants and sky, and people as well. It is such a great feeling when I can connect with others through my art. A customer recently told me, ""I did want you to know how much your paintings sustained me and kept my spirit and soul warm throughout some of those very dark nights. I never realized what a role the right art in your life could play, but art really can be lifesaving, as yours certainly was to me Your art taught me all...

Coyote playing a violin - a story to cherish and appreciate. I agree, the world needs to change its tune on this subject. Coyotes are important to the ecosystem, even if they can be bothersome. Lovely piece, as always!

Love this big time! I see lots of coyotes but they seem to keep their violins hidden in a drawer somewhere, ha!
Dawn Senior-Trask
What gorgeous whimsy! Like you, I love the coyotes, and my family's horses get along with them fine, just as in your beautiful painting. True, I've never seen Coyote actually riding any of them, but he comes through their pasture making his rounds every day or so. He climbs the buck fence, jumps to the top of the stack of round bales in the hay corral, scent marks his territory, then trots on his way. In the evening or early morning he sings from the nearby ridge or draw, and the horses perk their ears to listen. v/f
