Description
Cranes in Group
Scene I captured during my visit to Zhalong National Nature Reserve in Heilongjiang, China. The red-crowned crane is also called Manchurian crane. It is a large East Asian crane, among the rarest cranes in the world, often known as a symbol of luck, longevity & fidelity.
Painting created with Chinese brush and ink.

Revisiting this beautiful and sensitive work. I especially like the way the crane on the left is outstretching its wing, almost protectively. l/f/tw/p
