Using as a wallet
I was so moved by the tragic summertime wildfires blazing their way across thousands of acres in the west, I did this painting through impressions of the images I had seen of them. I saw the remnants of devastating wildfires in Yosemite National Park and later, after returning home, I discovered more wildfires were burning in California near to my Aunt and Uncle's home. I used a technique I called "drizzles" where I mixed the paint and applied it from squirt bottles. Surprise! :) This is not a watercolor, it is custom mixed acrylic paints drizzled, dabbed and swabbed on a heavy watercolor stock.
