Description
Darien Georgia is a step back in time, an old shrimper fishing community along the Georgia low country coastline, south of Savannah, picturesque and charming. We ended up here by accident because of some problems during our trip south in winter. The unintended stop gave me a chance to investigate this tiny town.
One of the local residents was bent on following me around as I was photographing the harbor area looking for a handout. He was a simple black bird in the shadows, but a stunning colored, rainbow bird in the sunlight called a Crackle.
