The Bald Eagle has long been a symbol of American pride as it is currently the national bird and the national symbol for the United States of America the Bald Eagle appears on the United States seal. Measuring a length of 70-102 centimeters (28-40 in). Typical wingspan is between 1.8 and 2.3 m (5.9 and 7.5 ft) and mass is normally between 3 and 6.3 kilograms (6.6 and 14 lb) this massive raptor was once on the brink of being extinct but as of 2007 is not listed on the threatened or endangered list in the United States.
