Love this duvet cover in the Tree Fort Suite of the Elk View Lodge, Fernie, BC, Canada.
The automobile has long been a symbol of wealth and prosperity in North America. A good percentage of a wage earner's paycheck went towards owning, or eventually owning, one of the many automobiles that were produced. In this series I have looked at the final resting place of these pearls of the auto industry to see how they are doing. These "classics" are waiting to be discovered by a classic car enthusiast....perhaps a little too late for these. The rust and dented fenders were a joy to see and to photograph. Memories of my youth came flooding back...trying to remember if I ever saw any of these models on the road or not. Perhaps, through photography, some of these cars can be beautiful again...I see the beauty there as a subject to shoot and a reminder that all of our possessions are merely temporary much like the Pyramids and the Trump Tower....Cheers Bob
