This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
Fort Worth went from a sleepy outpost to a bustling town when it became a stop along the legendary Chisholm Trail, the dusty path on which millions of head of cattle were driven north to market. Fort Worth became the center of the cattle drives, and later, the ranching industry. Its location on the Old Chisholm Trail helped establish Fort Worth as a trading and cattle center and earned it the nickname "Cowtown".
During the 1860s Fort Worth suffered from the effects of the Civil War and Reconstruction. The population dropped as low as 175, as money, food, and supply shortages burdened the residents. Gradually, however, the town began to revive.
About David and Carol Kelly
Thank you for visiting our site. We have been married 58 years and are long time partners in our art as well as life. Most of the beautiful floral and butterfly images are from Carol's camera while most of the rest are from David's. The making of a photographic image requires more than the click of a shutter. In the days of film photography we spent many hours in the chemical darkroom to make the negative more than just a "picture". The current digital darkroom allows far more control and artistic development for the original digital file to come to life as art.You will find in our galleries realistic presentations, simulated paintings and outright digital abstracts. We thank you very much for taking the time to look at our images.
