Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. This is based on #2159 "Dumoine Rapids". That painting was all about the forest and the rapids in the title were more of a supporting actor. I wanted to do something much bigger than the plein air work that also had a lot of vitality and movement. I felt the forest and trees dancing as much as the rapids. The car-sized boulders even have a lot of movement as well. The Dumoine is a celebration of something alive and vibrant and that include the rocks and the trees as well as the river. I picked a large and very high quality canvas and a palette full of paint - pitter-patter...
The black spruce and pines of the Dumoine are thick and their branches intertwine to make a nearly impregnable wall of green. It is dark in the forest under those trees and once inside there is not much to guide you which way you came or which way to go. The forest probably looked the same way now as it did in the times of Champlain a few centuries ago before the Industrial Revolution.
I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. That special connectivity gets into the pigments and you quickly realize that we are all stewards of the land, privileged to appreciate its beauty during our lifetime but responsible for leaving the environment better off for the future and all inhabitants... Phil was born and raised along the St. Lawrence of Ontario, Canada and studied at Queens University as a nuclear physicist. A meteorologist for Environment Canada for 35 years, Phil specializes in severe weather and training. Remote sensing is his forte - you might want to see a tornado before you die... but not just before you die! He has farmed, raised bees, written books and articles, lectured and instructed...
