An image from my archives taken on our first visit to the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens in Holland with my Canon PowerShot S3 IS camera (now retired) on its "maiden voyage" in 2007. As it was the first time that I had used my new camera, I used the Auto setting.

Thank you, Ann. I'm afraid that it will have to be in my dreams because of my back problem. I am so glad that I took lots of photos while I was there. It was my first digital camera (just bought a few days before leaving) and the weather was beautiful, so I could not have wanted a more beautiful training ground.

Thank you, Laurie. It is a photographer's paradise. Be sure to allow plenty of time. The grounds are so extensive that it take five hours to walk round the without stopping to take photos. My is probably the best time to go, though sometimes Spring comes late.
