Description
"Echoes of Angkor Wat" (20in H X 16in W) echoes the dark corridors and passageways that lead in all directions, pierced here and there by shafts of sunlight. Serpentine Banyon roots embrace the ruins. Originally build in the 12th century as a Khmer temple honouring the Hindu god Vishnu, Angkor Wat was sacked numerous times by the Chams and Siams. Over the centuries, it evolved into the Buddhist temple and remains so today. Angkor Wat, located near Siem Reap (death to Siam,) is today, the symbol of Cambodia.
