All money I receive from any purchase of this image will be donated to PICU which is a registered charity that was set up in 2006 by nursing staff on the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Southampton General Hospital.

This elephant was given to my Granddaughter by the Friends of PICU.
Within hours of her birth she was diagnosed with a very rare heart anomaly which resulted in her having heart surgery at 7 days old and spending time in the intensive care and high dependency units.
Friends of PICU provide every child on PICU with an Elephant Cuddly Toy and a quilt.

Friends of PICU aim to support the children and their families by providing vital equipment and services that are not normally provided by the statutory authorities. The charity maintains the family accommodation on the unit which has recently undergone a major refurbishment program.
