Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Artist's Description

This is one of those paintings -the more you look, the more you see. I painted it after a terrible flood hit our town. Lives were lost and so much property. At the same time a friend committed suicide because of a personal storm in her life. I was reminded of how we can find safety from the world's woes by coming to God. he will always be there to protect us and help us whatever storm we face.the lamb at the corner symbolizes Christ's sacrifice for us. The dove is about hope that the Holy Spirit brings us. Notice the raccoon trying to get more of his share. Can you imagine how crowded it must have been . As Noah's wife holds her hand out the first drops of rain fall signaling after 100 years of building the ark, being made fun of and tremendous toil - the time has come. The way the inhabitants of earth are polluting our world - it may be time to build another ark. God is our refuge.

Ann Cockerill

Born with a degenerative hip disease, Ann Brannon Cockerill spent much time in body casts as a child. God has a way of turning bad things into blessings though. At sixteen she worked for DeVant Crissey in Marietta restoring 19th to 20th century paintings, and learning old master techniques. She graduated cum laude with a degree in art at the age of 19 from LaGrange College and was listed in Who’s Who of American Colleges and...
