Love this duvet cover in the Tree Fort Suite of the Elk View Lodge, Fernie, BC, Canada.
Faces The Blues by Joan Stratton - Got the blues for you, it's coloured me inside and out just like a dye through cheesecloth. I relive it constantly, don't know what to say, can't stop myself from feeling this way. Would it help if I begged you to stay? A surreal, abstract piece of two blue face halves of a whole, both different but the same, with bright red lips. Same, same but different.
This piece is part of my Faces series where I am not one thing alone, I am a collection of many wonderful, odd, unusual, unique and familiar things that make up the whole of me.

I began my working career in Melbourne, as a trainee in graphic art, technical drawings and drafting for a mining and engineering company. With the diversity of work available to me, I gained vast experience with all manner of mediums prior to the advent of computers. In the mid '80s, as a side-line to my permanent employment, I designed and prepared artwork for record covers (Albums, Eps), promotional ads and flyers for rock bands that marketed their music independently.
