I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

Female Crucifix like the work of the artists from the XVIII century about the crucified Jesus.
My name is Ramon Martinez. I work with experimental art in video, photography, 3D art, 3D animations, etc. about the subject the crucified female Christ. I've started my art project since early 2005 and I've named my art project "Passion Of A Goddess". I want to explain the reason for my art project: "Many artists during the past 2000 years have been interested in the picture of a crucified Jesus. One of the reasons is probably that this subject offers a lot of symbolic value as well as possibilities to manifest different expressions. Although the question raised is why these artefacts are always male? In a few cases, Jesus portraitures as a female raise negative consequences from the conservative parts of the church. The idea that...

I LOVE what you wrote in your Bio...fabulous...and you are a wise and a very, very brave soul...guffaw! The history of the dehumanizing of women goes way back, at least 5000 years, to when the male priests of the day decided they wanted the power and basically set out to corrupt what were primarily matriarchal societies. My understanding is that in those times, property was even passed via the female line. Those with an agenda decided to declare women as "soulless" and we have been living with the consequences of that calculated power grab ever since. And of course, I would add the the whole story of Christ, even as a man, has been completely corrupted and is perpetuated by the Church even unto this day...despite much evidence to the contrary via the Dead Sea Scrolls, Gospels of Thomas and Judas, etc. This image is beautiful and I applaud your courage, clarity of perception, and attempt to make a point. v/f
Ramon Martinez replied:
Rory, thank you very much for your very interesting comments. I think that declare women as "soulles" is a crime against the humanity. I agree that the history of Christ has been corrupted by the Church, that it seems more interested in power and money than in follow the words of the Christ. About the corrupted history of the Christ, I recommend reading "The Manipulated Faith" by Karlheinz Deschner. This book is a serious study of the Gospels and the falsification by the Church.
