Description
Golden Glow Over Haybales - We captured this pasture of haybales with this nice golden glow over them in the Texas Hill Country right around dusk. If you think of Texas landscape haybales should be part of it because you travel for miles and miles and what do you see in many to most parts of texas haybales. Haybales are part of the rural Texas hill country landscape and through out the rest of the state. Haybales are made after the grasses are allow to grow to a certain height before they are cut then they are rolled into the round bales mostly. Occasionaly you will see square bales but mostly round. The bales are mostly made up of rye grasses, bermuda, but sometimes alfafa and other grasses are used. The bales are cut, rolled and stored for use as animal feed for horses, cows, goats and sheep. The nutrition value of hay bales is determine by several factors such as when was it cut, optimum crop, field, and weather conditions all play a part in getting the most from your bales of hay. This is a common site in Texas and we like this field of haybales right before sunset and the nice clouds in the sky on this evening while riding through the hill country. We liked the golden glow over hills along with the shadows created as the sun sinks lower in the sky over this farmer field outside of Llano, Texas.
