This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
Two guards standing in front of the Petra Treasury located in Wadi Musa, Jordan. Petra is "a historical and archaeological city in the southern Jordanian governorate of Ma'an that is famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system" [Wikipedia]. Established possibly as early as 312 BC, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. It was rediscovered, to the Western World, in 1812 by Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. The treasury was carved out of a sandstone rock face. Petra was chosen by the Smithsonian Magazine as one of the "28 Places to See Before You Die". The Treasury was famous as the site where the Holy Grail was located in the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade movie. Taken in October 2014.
