Montgomery, Alabama May 23, 1961National Guardsmen with fixed bayonets stand guard at the home of Rev. Ralph Abernathy where freedom riders held a meeting to announce their intentions of continuing their bus tour of the South. A few days ago one of their buses was burned in Anniston, Alabama.
