Half Dome.
Among one of the most recognizable, iconic rock formations in the world is Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. Half Dome is one of many central focal places as well. This rock formation is visible from so many locations.
One of my favorite locations to view Half Dome is from the Glacier Point overlook where I captured this image. It was early spring and the road to Glacier Point had just opened. We drove up and waited for the sunset. Although we didn't really get the spectacular sunset shot I did capture this image. I love the dramatic sky in this image along with contrasting light on the side and face of the dome. I hope you like it as well.
