Hanauma Bay was declared a protected marine life conservation area and underwater park in 1967. I got my scuba diving certification here. The test involved walking out along the side of the bay with your gear on jumping in the water and then diving back to shore, if you made it back to you passed. So, I passed.

My photos are published in calendars, books, and online. I inherited my passion for the Arts from my paternal grandfather, a gifted poet and musician. Grandpa played six musical instruments; his talent delighted and inspired me at an impressionable age. In December 2019, I relocated to North Fort Myers, Florida, where I plan to spend my winters. A new source of inspiration and delight is the sunrise and sunset photos, preferably with water. I am passionate about photography and hiking in my childhood home in the Gunks and the Catskill Mountains.
