Harbour seals (Phoca vitulina) on a beach. These are the most widespread of all seals and are found in cold and temperate waters throughout much of the northern hemisphere. They reach a length of around 1.5 metres, and hunt for fish, molluscs and crustaceans. Photographed at Blakeney Point, Norfolk, England.
