Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The "Hawaiian" Black-Crowned Night-Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax hoactli), also called 'Auku'u, is one of the two Night-Heron species seen in the United States, and in many other locations worldwide. Four subspecies of the Black-Crowned Night-Heron have been described, and N. n. hoactli occurs in Hawaii. It is considered as indigenous to Hawaii, as it is distributed and breeds on many of the Hawaiian Islands, since arriving naturally hundreds of years ago. Preferred habitat of this heron is in shallow wetlands, lowland ponds, marshes, and coast, either salt water or fresh water. Their crown and back are black, their wings are gray, and their underparts are white; their eyes are red and their legs and feet are yellow. They have stocky bodies, large heads and short necks. Their usual upright stance is partly hunched over. The adult measures about 25 inches in length and about 1.9 pounds in weight. The "Hawaiian" birds feed at night and during the day (diurnal feeding behavior in Hawaii...
