Description
Health Camp has been feeding hungry Wacoans--especially Baylor students--since the late 1940s. Health Camp began as a mobile canteen in 1948 serving ice cream and hamburgers to personnel stationed at Waco's Connally Air Force Base. Buoyed by success at the base, owner Jack Schaevitz opened Health Camp on Waco's Traffic Circle in 1949. The popular hamburger joint has been serving up 'healthburgers' to hungry travelers and residents ever since. Make mine with cheese and bacon, please!
