The print is much darker in person. It looks like an underexposed photo and hard to make out any detail on the bottom half of the print. Paper quality is good. Fast shipping.

"Hill Country Storm, No. 2", is an original watercolor and one of a series, 15" X 11", painted with American Journey and D. Smith paints on Kilimanjaro 300-pound cold press paper. The painting is an expressive look at some of the rare, but severe storms which characterize the Texas Hill Country where I live and paint.
About Virgil Carter
Virgil Carter, BWS, PWS, PWCS, TWS, is a watercolor painter, teacher, demonstrator, workshop leader, author and Internet commentator. He paints primarily in watercolor, both en plein aire and from his studio in Boerne, TX. Primarily a representational painter, Virgil paints a variety of subjects, but enjoys most painting landscapes and town/urban subjects. He is concerned with telling stories in paint which share a personal idea, emotion or feeling about each subject. Color and light figure strongly in all of his work.
