The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
Painted in 1904. This early painting was painted about the time Lewis A. Ramsey married Elizabeth Patterson Brown (Bessie), his lifetime wife, in Salt Lake City, Utah. It may have been painted for her. The flowers are common to Northern Utah. Their daughter Betty recalls frequently having these flowers growing in their yard in Salt Lake. The family usually liked to call them “flags,” perhaps because the draping pedals reminded them of flowing banners. Unfortunately, the original was lost in a fire near the end of 2011.
