Description
This piece is from my series of paintings exploring Dublin City. I focus on a famous bridge called The Ha Penny Bridge, which spans the river Liffey. The river divides Dublin into the North and South sections. James Joyce made Dublin and the river famous in his novel Ulysses, Anna Livia Plurabella. I placed Joyce second on the left hand side of the bridge, sauntering with his ever present cane and broad brimmed hat, as a nod to the great Irish writer.
