I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.
JIU JITSU JUSTICE is a marshal art painting based on the Japanese sport of Jiu Jitsu or Jujitsu. A derivative of Jiu Jitsu, the sport of Judo is a competitive contact sport played in the summer Olympics.
With permission of photographer Roel Fleuren (www.rollingandthepunches.com), I used his photo taken during an IBJJF tournament as reference to compose this original work of art. After painting the figures in watercolor, I applied some creative digital background to enhance the artwork with color, energy, depth and excitement. I added the splashes of red and black to reflect the colors of the school and create drama in the artwork.
