Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.
A misty morning stroll through Kelvingrove Park in the city of Glasgow, Western Scotland. The backdrop of this photo is the University of Glasgow, founded in 1451, it is "the 4th oldest University in the English speaking world". On the left is the tower, part of the main building, it stands at a height of 85m (278ft) and is one of Glasgow's most important and instantly recognisable landmarks, easily spotted from most parts of the city. A Bengal Tigress patiently watches passers by. I hand blended textures with my original photograph in black and white, to compliment the old world feel of this classic Scottish scene.
I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
Carol Japp replied:
Calvin, thanks so much for the group homepage feature! I truly appreciate it!
