This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

Artist's Description

Kinetoscope film advert. Advertising poster from 1913 for films shown using the kinetoscope produced by the US inventor Thomas Edison (1847-1931). Initial kinetoscopes were individual viewers, with the later versions developed by Edison in around 1912 (the Projecting Kinetoscope) able to project the film being shown. It was not until 1923 that a practical method was devised to synchronise sound and film, though illustrated songs (bottom) were an early form of combining film and sound.
