I'd been walking all day in Avila Spain and decided to take the bus out to Cuatro Postes, a little shrine outside of town to watch the lights come on in town as the sun went down. The only problem was they don't make the bus schedule to coincide very well with the sunset so my choices were to go out much earlier than planned, much later than planned, or walk. I opted for earlier but that left me with a lot of time to kill before the sun went down. So...zoom in...zoom out...panorama...no panorama...the north walls....the west walls...everything imaginable to pass the time. Luckily there was no rain and the setting sun made the medieval walls glow golden. This is a telephoto image of the north walls leading to the Puerta del Carmen (upper left) on the north side of the city.
