Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You†to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
It's been really cold and gloomy here for too long and I needed a reminder of spring. I've always loved lilacs and peonies, they remind me of my grandmother and wonderful childhood memories. It's been almost 5 months since I've painted anything so I really enjoyed myself with this one.
My name is Barbara Pirkle and I discovered my passion for creating about 35 years ago. Recently I started painting full time, and I’m truly enjoying myself. Most of my work is done in Acrylic on canvas or wood, Acrylic Enamel on old windows or metal, and Pastels. I am a native of Georgia and currently live about 40 miles north of Atlanta. Most of my subjects are taken from scenes in my area of the country. Other than an art class in high school and a few drawing classes several years ago, I'm basically self-taught and really love what I am doing now. Every day that I'm painting is a learning experience. Thank you for looking at my work.
