Description
Once upon a time near the edge of the world, just east of the lea where the winds unfurl, there lived a fair maid with her fair-weather flock, who recoiled 'neath the shadow of Frank Sparrowhawk.
So they skedaddled one day leaving tails in their wake, Miss Lily Beau Pepys and her beau to forsake; with the lambs gone astray they were full of dismay, then along came Tom Feuillery.
"By hook or by crook I will find them for thee," said Tom to Miss Lily Beau Pepys, but Sparrowhawk knew it was Tom that would rue the day that he stole the maid's sheep.
Frank followed the trail of the sheep's bloody tails, hell-bent to find them or bust; but he tripped in the trap Tom Feuillery set and was hung out to dry until dusk.
Said Miss Lily Beau Pepys to the two-faced bo-creep, "What my weepy eyes espy is not this crook on a hook but the faintest of traces of lambikin faces, with tails in their places and a hero whose braces have rallied my flock to the cause: Take heed of infractions engendered by actions, the outcome of which they betray.
