Also known as African lily or agapanthus trumpets, these delicate flowers come in all shades of blue, lavender and purple, as well as in white color. Their cheerful looking bunches decorate gardens and parks of Southern California and also grow in warmer parts of Europe. They are not really lilies and they are native to South Africa but we are lucky to enjoy them here in the coastal areas of the Western United States in spring and summer.
