I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she loved it. The tuxedo cat painting was beautifully done. The blue and purple background was perfect to showcase the artist rendering of the cat.
San Diego County : Anza Borrego Desert State Park
Hellhole Canyon is one of the first desert hiking trails you hit at the floor of Montezuma Valley Road's steep descent from tall mountains. There you have a wonderful view of San Ysidro and Indianhead Peaks, as well as deep valleys looking east to the small town of Borrego Springs. On this morning a line of clouds rolled in as I made my way through trails lightly raining over surrounding hills. A small rainbow appeared alongside the first hints of gold sunlight brushed against dawn's shadows. Getting a Teddy-Bear Cholla Cactus in frame I had just enough time to snap a few photos before the rainbow slowly faded away.
My first taste of photography was (seemingly ages ago) while taking an intro to photography course. There we learned the basics of shooting, darkroom development, and print with film. In following years I carried my Cannon AE-1 all over the world taking pictures for fun and memories. Upon an introduction to DSLRs, my devotion to photography exploded given the new possibilities I found for manipulating and personalizing images. What feeds this passion is the emotive capacity of art – its ability to evoke strong reactions from viewers. I could spend hours sifting through and losing myself in the work of Eugene Atget or Michael Kenna.
