Original acrylic painting on canvas of two young lovers.The image shows the fresh faces of the young couple entering married life with hope in their eyes and hearts, floating in bliss among the sunflowers. Images of the family and community and the Irish village church are hidden among the flower stems. Behind the couple is a floating woman holding a child - perhaps a hint of the future.
Spend time looking and other images will be revealed. .
This painting was somewhat inspired by the work of wonderful Russian artist Marc Chagall who died in 1985. His work is rich in the imagery of the folklore of his native Russia and often takes on the appearance of a dream-like fantasy. With his death the world was left the gifts of an artist whose work is timeless.
