The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Lyttelton town suffered very badly in the Christchurch earthquakes as it had a lot of old brick buildings among it's weatherboard ones. If you look closely you can see at the end of the long pier in the foreground where the end of the pier collapsed into the harbour.
I love working in New Zealand as there is always something new to excite me. Really interesting photo Steve…but I must say can you imagine this area 100 years ago without all the pollution and junk made by man ?A earth quake is working against man …as man is working against the earths balance ! This area once was pristine !
