Querida Rosa, me gusta tu Macarena, el ruido que la rodea y su expresion de dolor. Como todos los iconos religiosos esta virgen esta super adornada y se transforma en una super star. La mujer ocupa un lugar dudoso en todo lo sagrado y contemplando a las virgenes, se hace mas patente. La luz la hace divina, pero su cara la delata y muestra su amor desgraciado y a la fuerza.

Hi Thomas....you noticed the tears. Always there are tears in a Madonna in Passion. I wonder why did I think those huge metallic pipes were fit for her. May be it is a different breathing what are showing me behind their reflections. Close to womanhood, there is always the idea of Death....and passion too. Another one. I do love these images. This one was from a procession of Holy Week in my town. But have access to them in some churches close to me. I have some other creations in my thread.
