Lake Manapouri lies in the south of the South Island of New Zealand and is part of the famous Fiordland National Park.
It is considered to be the prettiest of the lakes with its many islands, and is renowned for its fishing.

Recently I was commissioned to do a painting of the lake and was very impressed with the shot I was asked to base it on.

Here is the response of the new owners to the completed work:
"We love working around Lake Manapouri and the ever changing light patterns around the mountains. One evening we captured the sun's rays streaming through the clouds and glistening off the lake.
