I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

The iconic Monte Rosa mountain hut above the Gorner Glacier in the Monte Rosa mountain range in the Alps of Switzerland above the village of Zermatt. Groundbreaking in architectural design, energy efficiency and sustainability, it completely revamped the country's approach to building shelters in the alpine region. Oh, and yes, there's that other iconic symbol of many things Swiss, the Matterhorn, majestically filling out the background.
It probably started with a young teenager looking at NatGeo pictures and deciding that he wanted to be the next Galen Rowell. First published at seventeen, first exhibition at twenty-one, photography suddenly took a third-row back seat for a couple of decades as life unravelled in unforeseeable directions.. A couple of decades later, the re-entry to the initial passion was a decade of extreme mountaineering and the resulting photos becoming the foundation for a stock photography business. Age, not stopping at my doorstep, led me to shift priorities back to what I once dreamed of doing. Living in a small RV since 2020, I currently travel throughout Europe at a leisurely pace while stopping here and there to playfully relearn a craft I once...
