Description

This is another painting that was inspired by my artist in residency at Caribou Ranch near Nederland, Colorado. (When I first came to Colorado in the 70's, I lived in Nederland for a few years so it was extra special for me to have the opportunity to stay at Caribou). While there, I stayed in an rustic apartment that Boulder County park workers had crafted inside of this barn. I reveled in the silence as the moon rose over Caribou on the last evening of August.

What a beautiful mood here Anne with the moon rising above the shadowed trees.The purple shadows behind the old barn evoke such a feeling of nostalgia for for late August in Colorado. I feel as if I am right there!
