Description
Mouldy blackberries (Rubus fruticosus). Fungus (grey) growing over the surface of blackberries. The grey masses consists of hyphae and numerous fruiting bodies growing out of the blackberries. The fruiting bodies will release spores that will be carried by the wind to start new fungus colonies elsewhere. The blackberry at right is at a more advanced stage of decomposition than the one at left.
