The structures shown here include the bony part of the chin, the bone of the hard palate (roof of the mouth), the tongue, the nasal cavity, two of the paranasal sinuses (red spaces in bones), and the oesophagus and trachea (tubes in the throat). At the top of the trachea is the epiglottis and the hyoid bone.
