I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she loved it. The tuxedo cat painting was beautifully done. The blue and purple background was perfect to showcase the artist rendering of the cat.
La Jolla Cove has some of the best rocks and waves for blurred photography that I've every seen. This set reminded me of a bowling "gutter ball" I wanted to create a motion dynamic to it so went with a 1/4 seccond exposure. The angles and shapes also made me think of the Palm Springs Modern Pop Art that came about in the 50's through 70's. So I gave a few shots versions some of that flavor too.
R. Scott Campbell - “I am a child of God with a camera.” My goal and passion is to capture and create imagery that shows a tiny fraction of the beauty of God’s Creation. I do believe that everything (entire universes as Stephen Hawking describes) was created and is still being created, and will continue to be created by God long after we have gone back to be with our creator. When I remember that everything I see is part of God’s creation, I see beauty in everything and thus I am motivated and inspired. Fine art photography has been a passion since 1984. From 2003 – 2016 I was in business as a commercial photographer. Now I am a busy & successful fine artist. I have been blessed to be a galleried, juried,...

Interesting spot....it looks like the ocean there is right up against a curb or sidewalk?! Really beautiful image, Scott!! Love the spraying water and the b&w!! :)))vf
Scott Campbell replied:
Thanks Laurie. All of that is actual natural rock formation. It's about a 2' wide trough with a nearly round rock worn round by bounding around in the trough. It's just one of maybe 1000's of features like this. You guys have GOT to go to La Jolla beach when there's both very low and high tides. Plus there's great food and music up in town. The rock formations are amazing. I took this with my Lumix LX100 high end "point and shoot". The exposure was at 1/4 sec and I used a ND filter so I could slow the exposure down. my camera is about 8" off the ground on one of those bendy rubber tripods. I can't carry my pro gear right now. So make due. Seriously, this is just 1/1000 of what you can shoot there you gotta go. Oh, and on this shot I got totally soaked head to toe with that wave you see in the background. Grabbed my camera and rolled as the wave crashed over me. Fun!
