The print is much darker in person. It looks like an underexposed photo and hard to make out any detail on the bottom half of the print. Paper quality is good. Fast shipping.
Artist's Description
Light microscopy of myelinated nerves in a toluidine blue-stained section of the optic nerve. Axons appear as mostly empty-looking elongated profiles enclosed by deeply stained margins representing myelin sheaths produced by Schwann cells (not easily seen at this magnification). There are about one million axons in each optic nerve. Magnification x400 when printed at 10 cm height.
